FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The Answers You Need

FAQs: FAQ

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE A MEMORIAL?

We expect to deliver your completed headstone (if using inventory stock) 4-8 weeks after you have approved your design. Memorials from non-inventory stock can take up to 90 to 180 days to complete and deliver.

WHY WOULD I BUY A MEMORIAL IN ADVANCE?

Memorials are purposed to represent the individual. Who better to decide how to remember you than you? Decision making in advance is easier than during a time of grief for families and individuals.

WHAT TYPE OF MATERIALS SHOULD THE MEMORIAL BE MADE OF?

Most modern grave markers are made of one of three materials: granite, marble or bronze. We recommend and most often use granite because of the options it allows you and its durability.

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE A MEMORIAL EVEN IF THE BODY WAS CREMATED?

No, marking a grave space is optional. We, of course, recommend it to provide a place for reflection and comfort. It also offers genealogical information for future generations.

DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE THE MONUMENT THOUGH THE FUNERAL HOME OR CEMETERY?

No, you may purchase the monument from any monument service provider you choose.

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE THE MONUMENT IMMEDIATELY?

No. Take your time considering how you would like to remember your loved ones, for yourself and generations to come.

FAQs: FAQ

HOW IS THE CARVING AND DESIGN PUT ON THE STONE

Our sales representatives guide customers through the process of choosing the perfect design for their memorial. A design will be created for approval. Then, either sandblasting or laser etching is utilized to ensure that your monument is engraved with precision and efficiency.

IF I WANT A SPECIAL DESIGN, CAN YOU DO IT?

We sure can! We offer a variety of specialty designs and can likely fabricate any design you would like.

DO ALL CEMETERIES ALLOW THE SAME MEMORIAL?

No, regulations for markers vary from cemetery to cemetery, section to section and sometimes even lot to lot. We recommend that you check with your cemetery, or a qualified monument provider, to be sure you purchase a marker that meets your cemetery’s guidelines.

FAQs: FAQ

HOW MUCH DOES A MONUMENT COST?

The cost of your headstone will vary, based on size, material, finish, and possible extra items such as vases or porcelain photos. Remember, above all else, when it comes to a memorial, you get what you pay for. Adjusting quality and additions can accommodate a variety of budgets. We are pleased to give you estimates or specific prices to help you in your decision making.
